Coral Springs, FL. – The Weinstein Law Firm is pleased to announce that the firm’s managing attorney Andrew Weinstein has been appointed by President Barack Obama to serve as a member of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council. The United States Holocaust Memorial Council was established by Congress in 1980 to lead the nation in commemorating the Holocaust and to raise private funds for and build the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Once the Museum opened in 1993, the Council became the governing board of trustees of the Museum, an independent establishment of the United States government operating as a public-private partnership that receives some federal funding to support operations of the Museum building.
The Council consists of 55 members appointed by the president, as well as five members each from the Senate and House of Representatives and three ex-officio members from the Departments of Education, Interior, and State. Presidential appointments serve for a five-year term.
“I am honored to be named to the United States Holocaust Memorial Council,” Weinstein said. “The museum is at the forefront of documenting and interpreting Holocaust history and working to stop and prevent mass atrocities worldwide. I look forward to working with my colleagues on the Council to support the Museum’s critical work.”
As a trial attorney focusing on personal injury law and insurance litigation, Mr. Weinstein has successfully resolved several thousand cases for Florida consumers and healthcare providers. Mr. Weinstein is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has received a score of 10 from Avvo, which is the highest rating an attorney can achieve from this lawyer rating service. Mr. Weinstein has also been listed as one of the top attorneys in Florida by Super Lawyers and has been named one of the state’s Legal Elite by Florida Trend magazine.
