The Coral Springs–based Weinstein Law Firm a Proud Sponsor of the Florida Justice Association’s 2009 Hon. E. Earle Zehmer Mock Trial Competition

Coral Springs, FL. – The Weinstein Law Firm (www.weinstein-law.com) was a proud sponsor of this year’s 2009 Hon. E. Earle Zehmer Mock Trial Competition recently held at the Broward County Courthouse in Fort Lauderdale, hosted by the Florida Justice Association’s (FJA) Young Lawyers Section.

“It was an honor to serve as the event’s Co-chair,” said attorney Laura M. Myers-Schader, who also serves on the FJA’s Young Lawyers Section. “This event provides a wonderful opportunity for aspiring attorneys to hone their courtroom skills.”

The competition featured several of the best and brightest future young attorneys from around the state competing in a simulated courtroom trial for a $1,000 scholarship prize. Two teams from each school, including Stetson University, the University of Miami, Florida State University, Florida International University, and St. Thomas University School of Law, were assessed based upon their presentation of the case and judged by FJA member volunteers. St. Thomas University School of Law was the competition’s winner. The E. Earle Zehmer Mock Trial Competition is considered one of the most distinguished mock trial events in Florida.
