Coral Springs, FL. – Attorney Andrew Weinstein of the Weinstein Law Firm recently spoke at the 2011 Florida Personal Injury Protection Litigation Seminar at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Airport Hotel. The one-day seminar provided attorneys as well as insurance claims adjusters with an update and analysis of Florida Personal Injury Protection insurance law, along with a discussion on how recent Court decisions interpreting the PIP statute have affected the handling of these claims.
"Staying at the forefront of change in the legal field is something I strive to accomplish every day," said the firm's managing partner, Andrew Weinstein. He continued, "It was an honor to be able to share my experience in this area of law and to educate the seminar attendees on how to effectively handle Personal Injury Protection Insurance claims.”
The seminar featured a panel of leading Personal Injury Protection attorneys who addressed the future of Personal Injury Protection insurance, the Medicare fee schedule and the application of the Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) to radiology and MRI charges, the properly completed CMS 1500 Health Insurance Claims Form, recent legal precedent, and the legislative process that led to the most recent statute being passed. In addition, attendees received a valuable take home reference, “Florida PIP Litigation: Hot Topics, Trends and the Future of PIP,” written by the speakers.
